Veets also prides itself with the fact that it's the place in Mobile for national artists to visit and jam in. Because of this, there's never an empty seat at Veets during the Bay Fest Music Festival, held every October in the streets of downtown Mobile.

Veets Bar and Grill has been a fixture in downtown Mobile, Alabama for over a decade, and is located in one of the historic buildings lining the west side of Royal Street (on Mobile's main Mardi Gras route). It's location and atmosphere make it a favorite among Mobile natives and visitors alike.

In recent years, Veets has undergone major renovations, tripling the square footage of the bar and dance area. They've also added a banquet room to accommodate larger crowds and private parties, as well as a kitchen, to make them a "one stop party shop".

Veets bandstand is home to one of Mobile's finest house bands, Doug Previto & The Family Jewels. Not only do they perform live every Thursday through Sunday at Veets, but they've also played as an opening act at Mobile's Seanger Theatre for some of the best touring acts in the country.

The members of the Family Jewels, Micah Hare, Jeff Fidler and Daryl Huffman are all accomplished musicians who have individually performed throughout the states and produced both solo and collaborative recordings with other nationally known artists.

Another reason for Veets' popularity is the fact that there's always something going on, whether it's a birthday party, holiday celebration, or a special event. During the week they feature special nights to get people up and out in the party spirit. • Tuesdays -"Jimmyoake" On Tuesdays, Veet's offers Karoake for the brave souls who secretly yearn to quit their day jobs. . Wednesdays - "Open Mic Night" Come sit in with Mark and John from Grits n' Pieces Band and play your favorite tunes! Bring your own instrument, or the boys may lend you one of theirs! * Thursdays - Lady's Night Every Thusday the Ladies get $2.00 Well drinks! Come loosen up and let your hair down!
